Metabolism Diet
The Metabolism Diet is a diet which is basically seven days’ long. As the name implies, this diet is designed to increase the body metabolism. Its philosophy is that with the consumption of some food at specific times, it is possible to increase your metabolism and in the process, lose weight.
When on the Metabolism Diet, it is necessary to drink about four glasses of water a day. It is acceptable to add salt, pepper, herbs, vinegar, soy sauce, mustard, Worcestershire, lemon and ketchup to food that you eat while on the diet. If you wish to follow the Metabolism Diet, there is a specific diet that has to be consumed during the Metabolism Diet. The first day starts with either some black tea or coffee, along with packets of Equal or Sweet’N Low. Lunch consists of two hard boiled eggs and about a cup of spinach. Dinner consists of a lettuce and celery salad and a six ounce steak. The other six days of the Metabolism Diet have a similar diet which has to be followed.
Though it is possible to reduce weight with the Metabolism Diet, it does not actually provide sufficient calories for you to do your normal activities in a day. So when on the Metabolism Diet, it is not advisable to have a heavy work out or perform extreme activities. You also have to remember that you don’t get much vitamins and minerals while on the Metabolism Diet. This deficiency can lead to health conditions, moreover if you continue the Metabolism Diet for quite some time.
This indicates that the Metabolism Diet is a rather effective diet in helping you lose weight. However, it should not be continued for longer than seven days, lest you develop a weakness and some problems in your health. |
