Running is a great way to stay fit and it can help you to increase your fitness, lose weight or tackle stress. In order to improve your running it is important to plan your training program. Make sure from your doctor that you are physically fit to run. This is a must if you tire easily or get out of breath or have had any major illness recently. In case you have not had much physical exercise lately do not over exert yourself but slowly build up your stamina in order to increase your running speed and distance.
There are several Running Clubs in different cities of the world that cater to all ages and ability levels of runners. It helps to be a part of a group as the camaraderie is added incentive to get on the run. Running can be road running or cross country which requires totally different practice timings and efforts. A great class of running is the marathon which has now grown in stature all over the world. Not only is this a great occasion for bonding and fellowship, it is now an occasion for raising funds for charity.
